A Blog For A Blog - Blogmad
At the moment my main priority is to try to get traffic to my blog and get it known as without traffic I wont earn a penny. Im trying a number of methods from Kumiko’s blog at the moment as she has received success quite quickly so its worth trying some of her methods. The one im trying out right now is Blogmad and to be honest it is very frustrating to set up. The site is not designed to handle errors very well. For example I tried several times last night to sign up and it failed when I as entering the verification numbers. I put it down to a problem with the site but had the same problem this morning.I finally worked out what it was - the flagged the first usename I used as taken and offers a back button to take you back to try another which I clicked to return and try another name. The next name I tried was fine but it kept saying I was entering the wrong verifacation numbers shown on the screen. Now I can have my dumb moments but I know I was typing the right code in and it kept failing. I was close to giving up (as I did last night) but realised what it could be. The code shown every time was the same so thats what I typed in BUT the code was changing everytime and it was just the code shown wasnt refreshing. A browser refresh and a new code appeared and it worked. Simple but not something a user should have to work out. There are a few more usability issues once you finally get in also and I think blogmad should address this
Now ive vented my frustration I am going to still give it a try as the idea it self sounds quite good. Basically you earn credits for everyblog you visit from the list of member blogs and in turn for each credit they send one visitor to your blog. It is a 1 for 1 traffic exchange which cant be bad and hopefully will make me some contacts.I post update on how its going once I given it a chance.
If you want to give blogmad a try yourself you can sign up here www.blogmad.net

Hi,
If you open a support ticket on the site detailing the problems you’ve had, we will deal with them a.s.a.p. We try making the site as user friendly as possible and sometimes this can only happen with community feedback.
Regards,
Darryl

I have opened a ticket explaining the problem - its not an issue for me now but maybe it will help others . Quite good that you came here and followed this up Darryl - shows you really are trying to improve things and address issues - its the reason I took the time to open the ticket.
